Jamila Hassanali, born and raised in Houston, TX, has recently joined A Children's House for Pediatric Dermatology. She is currently a senior finishing her bachelor's degree in Public Health with a minor in biology.
Jamila is really passionate about working in the medical industry. Throughout her college years, she has scribed in various emergent care facilities and taken part in research studies and presentations within her college.
Jamila is very excited to be a part of the team here at A Children's House for pediatric dermatology. From a very young age, she has loved working with children through teaching, mentoring, and volunteering. She has closely worked with refugee youth from foreign countries, and understands how important it is to teach them to love themselves despite any flaws, and now to love the skin they are in. For her to be able to blend her passion for kids and the medical field, is a dream come true.
She aspires to carry these experiences with her to Physician Assistant school and one day be immersed in a field where she is working with children who are in need.
