Blaire began her career in healthcare in 2006 after joining a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery office in downtown Chicago. After five years as the Practice Administrator and Insurance Coordinator she took a new position at one of Chicago’s premier Dermatology Clinics as Practice Manager and led a staff of 30 professionals. After five years she and her husband, Michael, relocated back to the Houston area where he was raised.
Blaire is positively thrilled to be joining the team at A Children’s House. Her background in multiple medical offices and her passion for patient care make her the perfect fit. Throughout her career she has found that helping patients through difficult diagnoses or obtaining laborious insurance authorizations is extremely gratifying. Blaire understands how skin can play a role in our self-confidence and being a part of patient transformations over time is very fulfilling. She looks forward to spending more time with children and volunteering for A Children’s House for the Soul.
In her free time Blaire enjoys dabbling in various hobbies and talents. She enjoys cooking and making homemade salsas, playing the piano, sewing, biking and playing with her two cats, Tina and Gomez. Amber Haygood is new to our office. Amber’s medical background began in 2007 when she started working as a Nurses Assistant for medically fragile foster children. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to combine her love for patient care and advocacy each day she comes to work.
Almost 4 years ago, she came to our office as a parent of a child with a skin condition. She was looking desperately for a doctor to help them. The orange door to our office holds a special place in her heart. It’s been a place of hope and healing for her daughter and herself. She hopes that with her personal experience with a child who has a skin condition and knows the hardships and struggles of daily life, she can share that same hope with the parents she meets at A Children’s House.
When not at the office, you can usually find her volunteering with A Children’s House For The Soul, using her love of photography to advocate for others through That Orange Door, spending time with her family, shopping, and loving on her 2 sweet dogs.
